Bernie Ebbers from the former MCI died. How many of you MCI alumni are mourning this crook?

Please don't call Bernie the "former MCI'er". The only thing he had to do with MCI was taking it down after Worldcom bought out MCI. MCI was a great company to work for. He destroyed it.

Former MCI'er here. I lost about $30K from my ESPP. No tears were shed for Bernie at the office today. I'm not sure how Scott Sullivan only got 5 years when Bernie got 25 but I'm done being angry at those losers. MCI/WCOM/VZ has provided a great life for my family.
You sound bitter. These are the days when anything goes, including your $, when the muse strikes those in power.
Actually, Bernie was WorldCom. WorldCom bought MCI and Bernie took them both down. MCI came back from the ashes for a short time before being acquired by Verizon. Certainly no sympathy from me.
I lost $110K. Many others didn't cash in options or diversify their 401Ks and lost everything. I hope he got the condoms and coffee we sent him.
