any news on women shoes..? Im in north east .. what i read on here is they cut show support in other stores? so no runners? its been like having no runners for 3 years... they barley work... so anyone got some insite?

I work in Women's shoes in the south and were losing one of out full timers but there going to flex. Also we losing of our support people in the back. The other support person will be around other departments but mostly in women shoes. We only have 4 people in the department at the present time, 3 pt and 1 pt. Were a smaller Macys but do a decent volume because of tourist, . I have no idea if anything else is going to happen in the store, any insite would be great.
I can't tell you for sure about your store and your cuts this week. We just lost a PT seller but he's going to an open job in Men's so he's not being completely let go. We went open sell over 2 years ago, that's when the support person was eliminated. Same for commission. Sales are better now with the self service. Manager already had more areas other than shoes anyway.
Thanks for reply. I knew the bunkers DSW style was coming when they start putting out the bunkers. I knew commissions was going when they started firing people left n right. So hourly staff in shoes is being cut on Friday ? So is that sales people? Or runners/stock people? What happens to sales supervisor and sale managers in shoe since you have a smaller dept ? I also heard commissions is going completely in June. Lord n Taylor already did away it
If you haven't been told of hourly cuts yet, then you aren't having any in shoes, or you aren't paying attention in your store. Last day for the hourly people being cut is this Friday
Be ready for open sell shoes soon, then you will have no runners and not much staff. Company is getting away from having shoes hidden in the back and salespersons needed to hand them to the customers. Been to DSW lately?
