SFO - Completely gone. Positions eliminated, though new positions opening in ATL and maybe NYC.
LOR - Shutting down datacenter. Not sure which people/how people are affected by this.
ATL/JC- New office opening in midtown to accommodate contractors and new positions created by SFO closure. Huge waves of layoffs mostly affecting upper management and some of the more senior executives going on throughout the day. Have heard that 1 of the 3 buildings in JC (Annex) is being shut down though unconfirmed so far.

Macy’s is an unfortunate place to be, for those who got impacted as well as who all didn’t.
SF tech got shut down. JC folks feel happy (or should I say lucky?)
Next what happens in few years? JC tech will be shut down and Atlanta Midtown would feel lucky.
It’s time everyone opens their eyes and finds a new job. Macy’s is not a good place to be at. Realize this now or regret later.
Only one Q: are the SF team members laid off being provided a 2 months notice (I heard that the facility is shutting down April 1st) or being let go immediately with severance??
They're given 60 days working notice, which means they're getting paid (w/ benefits) for 2 months. After that, they get severance.
Some people are offered relo to Atlanta. Those guys have until Thursday to decide. Whether they decide to take the relo or not, they have to keep working for that 60 days.
Folks who are not offered relo are free to go after this week. Macy's will keep paying them for the aforementioned 60 days.
Lorain is done, some effective 2/7 and others are end of March. A few were offered relocation, but almost everyone is just done. The leadership has placed no value in us. Good luck when stores go down over holiday and there is no team with stores knowledge- I will be laughing at the angry tweets while checking out at Target.
We were a family there, I am truly heartbroken.
They said they decided to move to a model of telling people individually that they're laid off, instead it ended up taking the whole day and became a sudden death situation
The entire Lorain building is closing. Everyone is gone.

Johns Creek Court will eventually shut down this year. That was already known
Former Logistician here sending sympathy and well wishes to everyone affected. Keep those skills up to date and the resumes polished, folks.
Wow wow wow! The mood here in the Annex building is so sad people are being so emotional this s—s
It appears that they are going the IT contractors route even more. That is what they have been doing for the last 20 years. We all know the results. Hire competent All-American engineers and put them in charge.
Having not technical management with incompetent cheap contractors has not been working and will not work in the long run.
Wasn't just execs and management. The entire tech organization was slaughtered. I'm talking parts of the business that were viable all the people were let go. So who is going to keep the lights on for these systems?
Most were let go effective this Friday, but I'm being kept until a later date......I'm assuming I will be training my replacement.
Why is all this dragged out over time... and little transparency of what is happening in other locations. Thankful for this forum.
