Looking forward to going to "training " for the meat department in club a couple hours away in a few days. Getting paid for driving time and milage. But the bonus is that my team leader will be there with me. The freaking loser punches in and we don't see him for 8 hours. For $23 /hour? Really? Going to ask alot of questions to other meat cutters from other clubs about their team leaders. Don't have a problem throwing mine under the bus in front of people I don't know!

Our Club GM shouldn't have ever told everyone at a morning meeting months ago that the fresh team leaders were getting raises to $22/hour. My meat department team leader NEVER steps foot in the meat department. He gets that money to do absolutely nothing.
Sorry you guys have that problem. Our meat team lead works his a– off. Not only does he cut and fill wrapper duties he helps out in all the other fresh areas. He also covers for our incompetent fam. Without him schedules wouldn’t get made, bunzl and product wouldn’t get ordered.
Nobody cares. Be an adult. Work harder.
They've been getting away with it for years. Taking credit for anything good that WE do and blaming us for everything that goes wrong while they are meatless meat leads. It's pathetic, but honestly if management is either so blind to allow it or desperate for henchman and willing to turn a blind eye then you can't just blame him/her.
Ours does absolutely nothing with his 8 hour day also, I have watched him sit in the receiving office all day, take 30 minute breaks, and retreat to the backroom bathroom for 45 minutes every afternoon. Waste of payroll!
It’s every club you have some good one’s and really bad ones. Unfortunately most clubs it’s the really bad one’s.
Ours is the same way, but I feel like doing what you're talking about doing will end badly for you. They're looking for excuses to coach people nowadays.
The problem is I think it's the way they want it now. I promise you my lead does not know a pork chop from a chicken wing. It gives a whole new meaning to the term UNQUALIFIED. It's consistent with the policy of leaving holes in the counter, which is 100% self destructive, and failure by design. Feel free to call my opinions whatever you like, sour grapes or whatever. But I am right. It's just a matter of time.
