@3wte+13mla663 is absolutely correct. However the days of HR justifying their jobs with complex processes will soon be over. Why do you think Hans brought in a new HR leader? From the outside no less.

HR Systems definitely going SAP starting Q3 2020; Aggressive push to get of off PeopleSoft\Oracle;
Supposedly to go very vanilla with minimal customizations, but the business side will never go for that, they justify their jobs with the complex and convoluted HR processes that Vz has. Picture large amounts of cash headed to SAP and 3rd party implementer......2 yearsfrom now, nothing to show but a mess.

All execs make money indirectly by bring in vendors such as SAP, Anaplan, Oracle, IBM, Mcksinsey, Bain, Infosys, InfoVision, Alex associates, etc. Unethical? Yes! Illegal? No! So if Verizon does not deploy SAP Hana, Anaplan, Peoplesoft, Hyperion, ER, etc the execs will find a new Tools.
That’s the sad state of US Corp affairs! Verizon is one of US Companies that are more transparent and corruption is not as rampant.

What executive in IT would support Pega? That's another big loser financially.

Maybe IT should stop hiring friends and family?

No way.... sap for HR. That’s a train wreck
We have spent tens of millions on finance with nothing really to show for it. No ROI. That’s why certain people left at VP and Director levels .

Unreal how finance of all teams allows this
