Actively trying to eliminate us and yet UP just posted openings for train crew In Rawlins, Green River and St Paul. Maybe things are on the up and up. Probably not. But a guy can dream right?

@OP companies post openings for positions all the time that they have no intention of filling. Most of the time they're collecting and storing candidate data for future needs or selling it to third parties (yes, they can do that).

Most of us did not have the luxury of a manager daddy with an online degree from University of Phoenix to get hired. What a piece of work. Yeah well when you’re the worst company in America you tend to get a lot of mouth breathers applying for jobs at your company. Had they been able to read, they’d see an 8% approval rating and not waste their time.
They are now hiring 25 signalmen for construction also as they just cut off all reliefs and supposedly are going after technicians and foremen next. Word is it is all on the path to bust up the union and flood the craft with contractors.
I fear what the UP will do to those new hires once they're trained.
Gotta get those new hires through the revolving door for the tax breaks...
Furlough numbers are down. 3000 those are rookie layoff numbers. Hire some more guys to bump those numbers up.
