2% -- UGH 2020 Layoff Magnitude

Those posting 2% reductions are correct.

We were told this in organizational meetings today.

It’s all real, unfortunately.

I was hoping that it would just be rumors.

I know people personally who were laid off.

There are many restructuring changes happening as well.

So, it seems as if even as these changes settle, more could be on the way after teams are integrated.

I’m terribly sorry for all impacted, it could be any of us, no one is safe.

These reductions shouldn’t be viewed as a reflection of the performance of those laid off.

Some really great people were laid off, feels like a numbers game.

64 FTE from E&I UW got let go.

Not sure when the severance changed, but the last time I was let go it was more generous - but that was 3 years ago. I am not complaining - but it does seem to be reduced.

Thanks for pointing out the correct severance, but no big deal if someone ' heard' it was changed. I appreciate the subject being brought up to get clarification.

2% of what org? It sounds like this would just be for UHC side as Optum was hit awhile back

The person posting the severance information is absolutely incorrect. The package is the same, there’s enough drama out there we don’t need to add by spreading incorrect information.

I spoke with someone who was laid off today. I heard up to 10% reductions in many areas. Notice went out today. Layoffs are not only in Duluth but in all states. As an added kick, UHC reduced its severance package from 2 weeks per year of service to 1 week per year of service as of January 1, 2020. I have been there. My heart goes out to those affected.
