Thread regarding UnitedHealth Group Inc. layoffs

This seems to be company-wide

I thought it'll be just a few departments, but it looks this is company-wide once again. When will it be enough???

There is life after UHG, but it takes awhile for the pain to go away. The lack of stress and worry has added to my lifespan and I honestly couldn't take the magnitude anymore. I hit 23 years. Take a break and deal with the emotional roller coaster. I immediately hit the pavement with my job search and while it took my mind away from the clatter, there were many sleepless and angry nights I could not sleep. A former retired boss commented that making it to 23 without an elimination was a stroke of luck in the first place. UHG is the best and worst, but the gold badge on your sleeve has market value. The non-competes are hell though.

I was also let go in October of last year. UnitedHealth Group is greedy as f—. This s—s and more laughter on the way. It appears there is no end in sight. Period

Next month would’ve made 11 years. No bonus but 12 weeks of pay smh. They can keep that!

Hang in there @ocs who almost made 20 years...you will find something better...I would have been 20 too Summer 2020 but they let me go last year. Many of us are watching in shock as this company appears to be unraveling...think of it as a blessing that you get time off to recover rest and process it all. Many people I have met since being here all I have to say is UHG and people roll their eyes. This place is hated by many more than I even knew!

My number was called today. It would have been 20 years this summer. My first lay-off experience. Kinda numb right now.

What about all of he Regional infrastructure? Most are more of consolidators than people who bridge best practices. Any cuts there?

Our scripted meeting said the layoffs were 2% company wide. That's a lot of people!

Layoffs actually started in May. Feel like I am on the Titanic. Time to disembark.

We lost one associate this morning is Specialty Sales. Several back in October, small group sales and virtual ops during that round.

We we advised to expect layoffs to be a regular thing and to occur at least once a quarter.
