I currently work at Optum and I think it's b.s. if they already cut from us. We hire temps just to fire them anyway so Why would they need to fire the people who actually know how to do their job? how many Optum employees will they let go?

Well looks like we have our new timeframe from this site already. Right on the money for October, Dec, and Feb cuts. So Optum gonna get smoked in March huh? I believe it. Company will report earnings in early mid April.

@1hpn...I was laid off in 2019 and I’m the one keeping you all informed. All my posts have been accurate and factual prior to the layoff (RIF). I only post if I know it is true. I have many inside sources including one in HR in MN.
The next RIF will be in March but I don’t have a specific date yet. I do know Optum will be hit hard in March. Do you work with UHC or Optum?
I really appreciate whomever is keeping us all informed of what UHC is doing. I only found out about this site a couple weeks ago and didn't know there had been so many layoffs. I only knew about the october one. Even though this is stressful, I feel better knowing what's going on so I can be prepared when (or if) it's my turn on the layoff list. I'm making a "get out of uhc plan" this weekend including getting my finances in order and updating my resume.
1ge. i figured we are all just a number, the new metrics are impossible to hit, management won’t train us and will throw us under a train. Just really toxic

Its a shame because they will lose a lot of customers if their customer service is from another country. The older generation will not be appreciate it. I know some may take this as a hot take but i get calls all the time that ask me where I am from. Yet again management seems to be clueless so I don’t doubt you...
It's hard to say how many Optum employees will be let go in March. Based on the direction Optum is going... if you are an American employee working for Optum, your job is not secure. If you are an American employee working for Optum, you should be updating your resume and hoping they offer you a severance package. Optum is moving more and more American jobs to the Philippines for the cheap labor.
Raises have been terrible. Bonuses been cut. Im not too upset the company pays below standard

It’s true. These are happening in rounds and Optum is next. Anywhere from 2-10% has been mentioned but depends on departments. Could be on or two or a whole department... better safe than sorry if you don’t believe.
whats the point in telling people when they may or may not be let go? have them worry about it up until that point? What service are you doing exactly?

i wouldnt worry about getting laid off. just do your job and dont listen to the doom sayers on this board. if you are worried about it make sure your resume is up to date and look for another job either within the company or outside it. i wouldnt dwell on being laid off.
