Thread regarding UnitedHealth Group Inc. layoffs

I think the poster is saying not to believe people saying that layoffs aren’t happening and to start looking for a new job

Ironically, I worked in Process Improvement in a unit in the Customer Office. We have more work than we can handle, and we need to keep all our people and tighten up our processes so we can "do more with less" like they keep asking.

Guess who they cut?

Won’t be the most popular opinion, but agree with another poster. The more you wallow and mope around, the less time you have to find something else. Stop worrying and get moving. I’ve been in you’re shoes a few years back with a house, kids, car payments, etc... and got hit in a lay-off where middle mgmt was essentially k–led off before a sale. Use the time you have to quickly brush up resume and start making contacts and/or reaching out to your network. In my case 5 years ago, I treated it like a full time job and started my next 6 weeks later. Looking back, I consider it a gift. At the time I was angry, mad, upset, etc... but you get through it stronger.

You worry if you have bills and a family

so why worry about it? update your resume and look for open roles within and outside the company. you can keep worrying about it or do something about it. worrying is getting you nowhere
