This is a All Hands meeting. I highly doubt they are going to announce layoffs mid week without any direct contact with your leader. I’m not sure why people are so confident in thinking that a company needs to give you advance notice when layoffs occur. In either case, hopefully it’s something positive.

The person who stated that names are not allowed on this site is incorrect. If you choose to use your name, you can do so. It is your choice to use your name, a pseudonym, or to remain anonymous The mods or admins have no way of knowing if you use your name or the name of a co-worker's unless a complaint is received. The original intent of this site was not for it to be a rumor mill, but rather a place to post information regarding layoffs... hence the name of the site.

First of all, stop asking for names. It’s an anonymous forum and names are not allowed here, so even if someone would be ignorant enough to try to post a real name here (yours, your coworker’s, doesn’t matter) site mods would delete it anyways.
Second, we all know that this is a rumor site and that everything written here should be taken with a grain of salt, yet we came here to read it and decide for ourselves which rumor could turn out to be true. Downvote what you think it’s garbage and move on.
Why don’t people post their names? The reason for this is that Ascension is firing on the spot with leaks. Why does that matter if we’re being laid off? The unemployment pay is half of a normal paycheck, versus collecting more paychecks.

@Brick Tamland??? It was previously a forum where actual information was being disseminated to help people PREPARE for a layoff. That made it decent. Now it's just a joke with people causing undue stress acting as though they have insider information when really they have no idea what is going on and just want to stir the pot, making inappropriate jokes and worrying people who have actual families to feed If indeed there will be layoffs, stop mentioning dates, messages like "ramping up" or any other false information unless you are willing to provide proof and to put your name to it. I am not spreading any info whatsoever, so my name is not necessary at this point. However, if I did have concrete information about a date, a time, specifics, I would not have an issue putting my name to it. Hope that clears it up for you "Brick".

If you know so much, if you know it's "ramping up" and for those speaking with such authority and the air of knowledge, post your name. Hey like you've all said, we're getting laid off anyway. What do you have to lose? If it happens it happens. You should be preparing yourself instead of posting lies on what used to a decent forum.

Have you been called into the office to pick up your stuff from your desk yet? I’m scheduled for this Friday to clear my desk...maybe it’s the first steps toward permanent WFH or it’s first steps towards imminent layoffs.
