I never knew this site existed until yesterday when a former coworker sent me the link. There are positive words on here, and people who are in the same boat; I appreciate the reassurance that there are better days coming. I do believe it as well.
I too, was let go from C&S NY on February 6th. I was also a salaried employee who worked many hours over 40 each week to make sure things got done. I oversaw two territories, traveled non stop, and was responsible for two Marketing teams. I did not have Supervisors to assist with the work load.
What I can say is this......I gave myself two days to be angry/bitter, and now I will let it go, regroup, and move forward.
While at the company I built relationships with two amazing teams of people, many community business partners, providers, and faith based organizations. Take the good things that you got while at UHC and use them as building blocks for the future. Is money going to be tight? Sure it is? Did this come at a bad time? No time is a good time, but I could be run over tomorrow crossing the street to get my mail, and losing my job would not have mattered. The whole situation is so unfortunate, and I am very sorry to everyone affected by the elimination of positions. Use all of your networking to find something better, because you will.
I am going to miss the people; my teams very much. Wishing all the best to all of you. Thank you for the opportunity.
