Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Will they offer PRP this year?

I'm assuming there wont be any volunteer buy-outs. Does anyone have info on possible PRP's being offered this year?

of course name withheld but a Sr HR contact said an offer is in the works similar to 18 but with a premium (dont know what that means) if the employee accepts and agrees to the lump sum pension offer. FOMOCO wants to take the pension hit now and to get out of the pension business. No word on if or how this impacts current and recent retirees. Tired of the games. Get on with it Ford.

Are you saying they indeed are going to offer PRP?

CDS ID of “PRP” is active as of mid-January and expires in late June... for what that’s worth...

Made my Bonus Election Today. If they were going to do anything that would have been the 1st cut made as they new the write down of 2.2 Billion long before they knew ahead of time the financial results would be in the gutter.

I am in the camp where there will be another offer for the folks close to retiring. Any close this time is going to take the money and run along with their pension.

Stage is set for them to just Lay-off any employees and throw a 3 month severance at it. The atmosphere is already in the toilet. It’s not like Hacket and company really give a sh–.

Not a chance they will have another SRD without offers of some sort. Moral would plummet #1 and the severance for a lot of the employees during the 18' Enhanced PRP was nearly the same as the offer. Why wouldn't they offer another 55 yo minimum 10+ years of service deal.

Well, given the current conditions and the mandate to move to the future now and just k–l the company off and/or merge with someone else, I'd say, yes it will be either PRP's or SRD, but there likely will be some other action sometime this year for some areas of the company.
