JC is definitely closing with all of the technology and customer financial transactions moving to inferior data centers.

How can Fiserv take advantage of all the “restructuring” tax breaks associated with DCO (AKA - biggest failure in Fiserv History) but never actually finish any aspect of that project? Hundreds of millions spent and so many unfinished projects, failed attempts and active lawsuits due to what happened in Wallingford. Fiserv has some of the oldest technology in the industry - it’s no wonder that quality problems continue to rise and outages continue. Now - we’re moving customer production back to Irving - a data center once slated for closure due to its 30-year old, overloaded infrastructure - how irresponsible is that to our customers? Even harder to understand why we are closing Lewisville and Phoenix - how much money has been poured into those places - how many millions - and now that customer transaction production is going to be moved to outdated, inferior, underinvested FD buildings that can’t be called real data centers. What a mess! DCO was a disaster and what’s planned next is unimaginable for our customers. More outages are sure to happen now.....

All of the exposure from recent outages along with the epic outage history of February, June and July of 2018 result in no confidence in JC and add to the decision to relocate and close the command center and data center to Omaha - labor is cheaper there and FD has labor agreements and tax breaks with Omaha so they are locked into that location.....

Contradictory news articles and some inside info - data center hardware is moving but possibly into JCreek from Omaha site. - Watch and wait, rumors can be just that.

Yes. Years of bad decisions make this decision a lot easier. The decision life-cycle seems to last about 6-months at Fiserv. Start something big, something new, blow up every prior decision never finish and then do it all over again. Time to do something new and since the Command Center is relocating to Omaha the Data Center should as well.

This is a major concentration of IT power so closing and moving is a huge mistake but FB only sees numbers lining his pockets so not surprised at all.

Reduction of expenses means employee reductions and office closure/consolidation. Look at FB’s history with FD - Same thing. No one should be surprised by this. Corporate greed at its finest.
