Thread regarding UnitedHealth Group Inc. layoffs

UHG has now joined the ranks of greedy corporate America

This new generation of leadership has destroyed what was once a great place to work! The former leadership instilled a terrific culture, they lived the company's values, got employees to buy in to the mission, they walked the talk and still made outlandish salaries, profits, bonuses.
They've resorted to mediocre, at best. Now where is that mood elevator? This will be interesting to see how this governance plays out, plummetting star ratings, tanking NPS, rising claims???

Greedy and evil, laid off in October after hiring 1000 employees for the company over 9 years.

20 plus year employee here. The company has absolutely changed and not for the better. I can’t wait for these poor decisions to bite them in the a** because they have created a serious brain drain. I can’t wait for the day I walk out of here for the last time.

I’m also not a big fan of the new leadership. The core values of our company I don’t see, feel and believe it from their actions. Our reduced ESPP benefit which was our best benefit in my opinion. They seem to be taking the company in a total different trajection. Only time will tell I guess if everything their doing will pay off.

The cost effective ventures at unitedhealthcare is all about age discrimination. They have eliminated employees with years of experience to move business to India and the Philippines. The Company will attempt to automate business instead of having a conversation with providers and members. No thought into job eliminations.

I never saw any benefit from that huge corporate tax cut; no bonus; I received a “raise” of 1.5%; did any of you benefit from it?

To the poster that said I'm jealous about people having money, that is incorrect - I couldn't care less and jealousy will get you nowhere. I'm very comfortable with who I am and the obstacles I've overcome in life. And I'm content with what I have so your assumption is wrong my friend! BTW, how did you interpret my post as jealousy???

Weird that you say it's not about money but you are jealous of other people having money.

We are embroiled in the drama of politicians rather than demanding accountability from them; the 1% can be diagnosed with mental health issues as they are hoarders (seriously, how much money does one need to live a comfortable life?!); and isn't greed one of the seven deadly sins - enjoy the journey to hell cause I assure you, in the end it's not about money!!!

We live in a nation of 1% having all the control. I’m not sure NPS going down or any other complaints will impact enough to cause any deterrent in a policy of operate with overworked, undertrained, and underpaid employees. It seems that the nation is so divided. We live in a nation that believes we are divided over our “values” that we missed out on the fact that we are just fighting over sc-aps. The puppet masters at the top have us thinking that immigration, or abortion are the issues that should govern our existence and keep us all distracted, while they create a system of extreme wealth creation and we slave away doing whatever it takes just to have a job. It’s not just United Healthcare; it’s all the fortune 500s destroying the working class.
