I make that much. I don't mind an assistant making the same as I do. Add my other packages such as medical and pension, and other benefits it amounts to more. The United States is a great place. People are allowed to make money. Are you a commie?

@5ure+13ua5VxS, did you even bother to read the article, or did your attention span get no further than the headline before coming to the conclusion that you thought fit the “logic” of your flawed agenda?

The article you linked proves why you’re mistaken in your misguided, blind, ranting, prejudiced hatred of a group that you do not belong to.

Does being in a union mean you have to take 45 fake illnesses days off per year?

Have to love this a–hole that can’t stand that union people leave this company with well over a million, many close to 2 million.
You chose poorly, what can I say? You’re at the whim of your boss, if your performance under the desk is poor, out you go.
I bet you are one of those people who had a bad day crossing a picket line. Millionaires get p-ss-d when you cross their lines, maybe you shouldn’t do that.
Oh yeah, you’re forced to do that. You chose poorly, probably never going to make up for it now, but don’t begrudge people who chose wisely.
Now go be a cubicle hero and buy people Starbucks. Bitter prick.

Contractors deploy the majority of fiber nationally. Not over compensated union associates.

What do you think leadership prefers? What do you think shareholders prefer?

Hows that for reality. It doesn't get any more real than that. #2023iscoming

5G antennas are on poles.
5G is attached to landline fibers.
You are a petty little provocateur with little knowledge of the outside plant, or of the deserved enrichment that a pension, in addition to an accompanying 401k that’s been growing over the course of 30 hardworking years, delivers.
Keep ignoring reality, if it helps you cope with your inadequacies.

Like I said, you cannot retire because you cannot afford it. You need social security $ to stay above water. Enjoy the golden years on that pole. Don't worry, 5g will stop that.

Average age doesn't figure into anything. 30 yrs and eligible for pension, 401k and medical for union . There are also other combinations of age and years of service that work for union. Thanks to CBA. Management have higher medical costs than union employees. I have many friends retired management and they are not happy.

What are you talking about? It says below all union people are millionaires. Thats why at 50+ years old they are climbing up poles in the freezing cold. Because it is so much fun! They are living their best life!

The +5 years of employment longevity might just as easily be attributed to a person leaving at the time of their own choosing, as opposed to the alternative. Just saying.

I wonder what the average age in retirement is between associate and manager? I would guess Union is +5 years because they cannot afford to retire. Just saying.

I know we pay dues but the last contract was handled poorly. We lost more vs prior but the local high brass continue to make a lot of dollars annually. The dues should be lower - we should base their pay on how they negotiate in 2023.

The only numbers fabricated are the ones you use to tell time. People work to reap the benefits. Many Careers have retirement benefits over a million dollars. You seem to lack Knowledge. BTW buy a digital clock.

Oh yeah, the union blows.

I was union, left with 26 years with a little over 1.4 million.

But yeah, you’re right. Much better to be at the pleasure of your boss whether or not you have a job tomorrow.
When was the country at its greatest? When union jobs were the most available.
Can’t dispute that one, but you can cry sour grapes all you want.

Haha. 401k match + profit sharing + MBO's + STI's + VAR's + VSP made me a millioaire. All that for being a desk jockey for 20 years and then retirement while you grind it out in holes and on poles in $hit weather.

You can take your pension crumbs that can be revoked when you need them most if the fund ever becomes insolvant. Good luck. Have a plan B.
