Anyone see a number of OFD people starting to move into offices at Alpharetta? I've noticed a few and wondering if they are all going to start moving in as original Fiserv get let go.

I am currently a tech Lead and make far below the industry average.. it is barely enough to cover rent. Well the jokes on them because I just read DevOps books all day to brush up on my skills. It is so disorganized around there that nobody notices. @1yjn+13wa1aR6 is right, it is time to start looking. Thankfully i am moving this summer and have been actively searching for new jobs.
If you’re legacy Fiserv or check free and you are not actively searching for an external job you are being reckless. You’ll either be released without explanation or your workload will be unbearable All while JY and FB will bank tens of millions a year
While I’m not a direct report of JY I do have a sense of the “why”. He wanted Fiserv to become the biggest FinTech. And to his defense there are good synergies between product portfolios that are attractive to Wall Street.
And, my guess is that he saw FB’s pay and thought “why don’t I get that too”.
Where it went horribly wrong is that despite his supposed leverage he didn’t count on FB’s well-honed corporate raider mentality.
Fiserv, despite all the “best employer” pseudo-awards, is toast from an associate point of view. It will take years for this merger to be completed and JY will be retired by then.
There are several people whom I know are very close to JY who are feeling nervous or threatened at the moment. As they should be.
Fiserv IS assimilated into the FD collective and is being destroyed by it. I don't know what JY was thinking when he engineered this trip into hell. Look at the posts here - FAR more than even on the IBM page. Count the disgruntled employees - it is huge.
Well, yeah of course since the company is First Data now. They're just hiding behind the name of Fiserv, because they've ruined their own name. Given time, of course, they'll ruin the name of Fiserv and then need to merge with Jack Henry or someone else.
Resistance is useless. Fiserv will be assimilated.
