I hear there are more RIF's on the horizon. That's all my source would tell me. Has anyone else heard this? I am wondering if it will be this quarter. I did hear that the will continue throughout the year.

I hear the next round of RIF;s are coming in a few weeks. Bring it on. Pay me my STI and pay me my severance and I am out the door. Bye Bye so long, farewell.
Constant RIFs and reorgs makes one wonder when managers focus on their day jobs instead of figuring out who to fire. Thr most important thing to know is that leadership does not care about you, especiallly in IT. Most haven't been with company long enough to realize issues have been in place since 2008 or before, so they think current employees are responsible for state of affairs.
Stock price lowered to $61 UBS says it is a buy. AIG will have to cut expense deeply to hit $61.
I hope I get RIFed right before the summer. In the meantime job searching continues!
I just got rehired last week. Now I need to get Rif'd again. God I love my job!

JR sent a note saying goal was to cut 12 percent from 2019 costs. That is a clear signal that at least in IT we can expect about the cuts in ftes. To be replacwd by Indians or Accanture or both. Leave after STI if you can, or be ready to train your overseas replacement.
You don't always need inside information to know RIFs are coming. During quarterly earnings press releases and conference calls, when reference is made to a "restructuring charge", which happened this past week, that will tell you all you need to know.
I have heard more RIF's are coming too. But I have heard this for a very long time. It seems to happen in many groups but small numbers of employees each time.
