Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Verizon still cares less about their Frontline Employees

Not sure if anyone saw the webcast recently, but at this point I feel like Verizon is trying to profit more during this national emergency than keeping their employees safe. After seeing Apple close all of their retail stores for at least two weeks, I was hoping that Verizon would follow suit. NOPE! I guess Verizon hopes to receive inventory that Apple was supposed to get first to help serve our customers. It’s a sad situation. Especially for those who can no longer send their children to school or to their caregivers. Hans better come up with something quick.

Employees shouldn’t have to use Vacation/Personal time to self-quarantine and all corporate stores run the risk of employees getting sick by remaining open. Our customers come from ALL OVER and it’s inevitable for someone not to get infected. Hans and Verizon as a whole better jump on this before a class action lawsuit comes about.

You have an out. Your either gonna use it or not. If your not going to use it you’ll be a good little clerk and show up for work

you were also given an option to take two weeks of vacation to and they provide masks you just have to provide gloves and we sanitize every hour and only let a few ppl in, not to mention the fact if we do close we still get paid for 40 hours plus our guaranteed 100% comm. If your that unhappy with the company maybe you should find a new one to work for.... ungrateful 😉

Helped a Dr at the store today! She works at a prestigious hospital in NY area. We had about 15 people in the store including reps.First thing she said was" Verizon hasn't provided you with gloves to handle their phones "? Enough said.

That Webcast was a joke. Not standing next to each other on camera. Yet you want retail employees to deal with customers and general population. You are not providing any gear like gloves or mask. Wake up Verizon CDC is saying stay away from people by 6 feet. You are NOT following that guidance you want YOUR employees to do everything you are not doing.
