Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Social Distancing

The CDC is recommending limiting the amount of patrons at social gatherings to 50 people or less for the next 8 weeks. But it's ok to have business as usual in our clubs? We have hundreds of members in our clubs at any given time. Schools, restaurants and bars are closing but it's ok for grocery stores and other retailers to remain open?

Costco is limiting the members and spacing out registers 3 at each register, 6ft apart. I tried to contact Sams Club regarding Costco's measures and I received a message that my could would be returned in 17 hours. Ridiculous!!!

I wish I could tell members that if they're worried about their families getting sick, don't bring the whole family out shopping! They're just multiplying their chances of getting sick and/or spreading the virus. The sensible thing would be for the family to stay home and just ONE person goes out to get what they need. If only the media would spread the message....

"WE HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO PROTECTION." They don't care about us. It's absolutely true. I haven't enough nasty words for the people at home office.

Why doesn't the company post signs about social distancing. Why doesn't the management have meetings about how we can stay save.Walmart could do things to keep us save but it might dig into their profits.

I don’t know about profit but I do know about responsibilities and I think that we have a responsibility to the general public to make sure that they are taken care of! If you don’t want to do that then stay home. I for one know that I have a obligation to be at my job and do my best to make sure that I take care of my responsibilities! I know that I am doing my best to help people through all this craziness! Not because I have to but because I need to! Are we not all in this together? Just sayin

It's almost like we should work on a volunteer basis. If you look at the progression of how it has affected all of us in the last 7 days. Think of what the next 7 days will look like.

This won’t last much longer. We will be closed by end of next week because won’t be much left to sell

We are the soldiers on the front line being exposed to the virus without any protection. Home office folks can work from home.We can be replaced if we contract the virus and die. It's very upsetting to me.Today I told members to back off when they got to close. I TOLD THEM I NEED MY SIX FEET. Many members thought I was rude.We ran out of hand sanitizer for the cashiers. WE HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO PROTECTION.
