Your hours can be changed to anything the company needs, it falls under the as necessary for Club/Company needs and/or operations. If they do change your hours you either work, quit, or terminated for attendance, then fight for your unemployment, which is going to be tough, because the company will have given their legal time notification. Or the company does nothing and you draw unemployment.

I have to agree with someone's comment below that the company messed up with this block scheduling and this is just another way to weed out the "long timers" and anyone with scheduling restrictions, as they usually choose the early morning hours.

I could be wrong only time will tell.

Close the store down and only do club pickups until this is over.

Just opened. People lined around the building to get in. We have associates letting people in groups into the building.

The signs they plastered all over the entrance and exits, as well as everywhere else they could think of, state that the store hours are changing because of the Coronavirus situation, etc. Folks, we predicted this months ago (as far back as September) and there have been numerous discussions here about it. The 9am opening time from Monday to Saturday is going to be permanent. The imbeciles in Bentonville knew they f****d up with Block Scheduling. Hardly surprising that they roll it out under these conditions and try to save face for the enormous blunder they made in 2019, when they decided to placate the shareholders and wipe out the overnight crew. Two hours doesn't solve everything but its certainly better than nothing.

We are still coming in at 6 but we are stocking shelves, cleaning anything they need us to do. Kind of like a Sunday morning

Sure can. Club hours were going to change in late April anyway.

Yes they can. If you’re opening on front end there’s no need to be there 3 hours before opening unless you’re a cos that has to check out club pick up orders at 7.
