Sam's Should Stop Putting Workers At Risk. Do The Right Thing

Associates are fearful of being around the mass people coming in everyday. It seems counterproductive when we are suppose to stay clear of large crowds yet that's all that is there. Do associates lives along with your faithful customers not matter at all? Stop putting us at risk and do the right thing.

Walmart is only paying you if you HAVE the virus. Alot of states aren't letting folks test for the virus unless you are really, really, ill. Management isn't allowing associates to wear mask, but members can come in take off there's and cough, sneeze, etc around the assoicate and its okay because we "have to take it". That whole stay home if you're uncomfortable is a bunch of bull and folks don't even realize it.
I'm a merch lead and literally got into an arguement with my manager about this yesterday because he's one of the one's who thinks this virus is a hoax.

"If one of us dies from this make sure your family sues Sam's. I know I will."
you'd never win that case. Sam's is giving you the choice to stay home if you feel unsafe. Sort of like enter at your own risk.

Hate to say this, but you’d rather be at Sam’s right now than Costco.

Costco just had someone at their home office get corona and die of it, but they all still gotta come to work. Google it.

Meanwhile Walmart and Sam’s says if you feel sick, stay home. No points against you. And if you get corona, they’ll pay for your two weeks of quarantine. Is any other retailer doing that for their people?

Also, grocery stores can’t close. Literally the entire country would starve and there would be mass chaos. You’d literally have mass looting and the military would have to be in the streets.

So Sam’s is doing the best they can. Stay home if you feel unsafe.

You do know you can miss work right now without anything counting against you. The OP is prob b–ching right now because restaraunts are closing and you can no longer go in and eat. If they close us and other grocery stores down where are you going to get food from. If it wasn’t this you would be on here b–ching about something else .

They could go to self check and club pick up only. I don't want to be close to strangers. They come on our side of the registers, lick their germy money before they hand it to us, they don't have a clue what social distance means.

SELF CHECK AND CLUB PICKUP ONLY!!!

Some Clubs started only letting 25 Members in at one time. The rest stand outside in a long line and wait. Yesterday the wait to get in was about an hour. (basically when 2 come out, 2 go in.. If 5 go out, 5 come in, etc.)

"do the right thing"
top f—ing kek, this company does not give 2 sh–s about ANYONE it employs, including the overpaid home office f–gots. People WILL drop dead in our stores in the coming months and business WILL continue. If you think for one second that anyone is gonna be able to take just UNPAID time off without being insta-terminated, you are f—ing dreaming.

The needs of the many {home office} outweigh the needs of the one (The employee)

At least limit the number of members allowed inside at one time. We had over 200 members come inside when the doors opened this morning.

They cant close down grocery stores, if they did the government would have to declare martial law. looters would begin trashing every business and breaking in to homes. they'd have to call in the national guard. thats not going to happen over a virus with such a large survival rate. it would cost to much money.

I suppose people not having access to food and water seems like a good idea. Right now, big box workers are almost essential. Also, as I understand it you don’t have to come in. You can take the time off without penalty. So maybe do that. K?
