Thread regarding CVS layoffs

CVS SETS THE BAR FOR WORST LEADERSHIP

Lets pretend the world isn’t burning around us, lets just continue to

  1. have normal conference calls about scores and numbers
  2. send emails to stores asking why carepass isn’t selling
  3. continue to tell our employees we are here for the healthcare needs when half the stores pharmacies close before the FS
  4. Continue to pretend everything is normal outside and stores should be running normal
  5. Ask our employees to “give a little more” when the company absolutely treats employees like garbage

We are run by Regionals and DL’s who are outbof touch with reality and run their respective areas by fear of them being fired or replaced by those above. Then we all pretend its ok and normal, its not. Company has turned into the biggest sh– show in retail.
Compassion CVS upper management it goes a long way with your employees and not the fake kind you like to spew daily.

Worked here four years. Denied promotion 8 times while people who are here get promoted in under a year when I asked why I was told I'm not happy enough and don't have enough experience. This company requires us to lie to members daily. Then want us to take the blame.

I worked there for many years and was adversely discriminated against in the following ways:

Executive Leader John Buckley, one time Chief Compliance Officer, blocked a promotion for my employee named L. H. because of his s-xual identity. I reported him to HR and Legal. I was later retaliated against, denied promotions and forced to leave after multiple public humiliation including removing my office to have me sit in the smallest cubicle, taking all work away and removing my team for me.

Most Recently Senior Director Raja Ramasamy of PMO repeatedly discriminated by race and age against me by passing over job assignments, ignoring my credentials, providing negative employee reviews that did not follow established CVS policies, paid me lower rates with less benefits, and no raise as retaliation as a Caucasian over 50 years old in favor of Indian coworkers resulting in emotional distress, negative financial effects, civil rights violations and having to quit the job.

Additionally my manager and my director BOTH hired relatives to their departments, in the first case a sister in law and second case the guy's wife, respectively. The sis in law had NO legitimate experience at all but was hired into a PM role just to line his wife's family pockets. Shocking. She was nice but completely useless!

I followed all internal policies and procedures to address these including emails to Larry J. Merlo, Jonathan C. Roberts. Eva Boratto. and Christine Fitzgerald to no avail and things only got worse so I left.

CVS is fraught with crooked people who have no ethics and management that has none either.

We're nothing but a number to the higher ups. I finally finished my truck from last Tuesday yesterday. I asked my DL and Regional on a conference call if they plan on dining anything for the every other week delivery stores since I'm out of TP, paper towels, hand soap, cleaning supplies and water...crickets...

All of you painting a pretty picture of how great your DL’s are and I am sure they are BUT its the minority very very few are in touch with reality. Most are 20yrs plus and living in 1990 world of management. No empathy , no compassion all about number even during a time like this. Sorry we all work for a sh– a– company who would throw each and every one of you a– kissers under the bus in a second. Do not think they wont, they will when its your time at CVS they will come for you. It happens to everyone. Now go sell some carepasses.

I agree a lot with with the last guy said about leaving CVS if you're just going to complain. But for you to say that your bonus was 8000 and one of the lowest in the district and if you made less than that then leave, and that's stupidity. My store was number one store in my store Health in my district last year and my bonus was lower than that. Your store revenue and the demographics of your area around your store play a big part of that also. My store is in a lower income area with high theft. My sales and MCP scores across the board last year were all 5s except for one month each.

Not new, been a SM for 8 years-was in the grocery side of it for 20 before that. I know it’s hard right now. But you crying ain’t helping anyone. You DONT have work at CVS. Go find another job. Simple. I’m sure it’ll be the best thing that you’ve ever done. And by the way my bonus was 8k. I was one of the lowest in the district. You need to move if your bonus was less then that. 80k salary is pretty nice lol

Well don't your wonderful dl win the gold sticker prize??? Ours is a jerk. Doesn't care about anyone. Most are this way!!! If yours is that nice maybe you better send him half of your bonus that most of us didnt get to let him know you have his backside. What a joke. CVS stinks!!! They are evil overlords who only care about money. If you think differently you are either just new or really so far up in there you can't be helped

It’s pretty sad to read this but all true and the saddest is it will continue.

Please don’t act like you can’t take a leave of absence. And mind you that YOU can say no! Nothing and I mean nothing says you have to be at work. Nothing says you have to travel. So please quit your crying. It’s ridiculous!! I’ve learned long time ago that NO company can make you do anything you don’t want to do or feel safe doing. It’s okay to ask. Hell you can’t te me you never asked anyone to stay over and they’ve said NO.

We just got an email from our DL asking how far we would be willing to travel to work and if we would stay over night. They are wanting to send employees across state lines to work according to the questions they were asking....during the coronavirus outbreak. If you kid yourself and think that they care then you are crazy.
