Sooo we get a one-time $500 payout to help with food, childcare, etc. It is however subject to tax and other deductions. Again, nice gesture.... super not helpful though. Just a tax write off for the higher ups. Way to go! More helpful to give those folks with kids a couple extra days off to assist with childcare.

it's more us empire symbolism. more of nothing. emptiness. write offs, write downs, tax games. the us empire=the huge mistake. corporations own us. the us was a corporation not a country. reality.

The fact is is that it's not essentially nothing. You can't have nothing and get more of it even in an essential way. It's still something. If they're doing it just to save their a– then whatever if I get paid so they can save a little face then so be it. I wish the whole world work like that. Where companies had to pay either employees or consumers just to save a little face.
Just do us a favor and resign then. Bunch of ungrateful ones

Taxes and all elective deductions will be taken out. Nice gesture absolutely but I agree with the post- company gets a big tax write off and you will get a fraction. Helping out your people should be helping out your people.
