Just the illusion that Cisco is a great place to work.
Everyone is cutting IT budgets. There may be the need to Webex and some infrastucture but people are cautious with any spend
Let the recession take over the whole world. Every company on earth will struggle to pay for all these services. Get out of stocks now. Insiders are all selling on Wall Street.
The Self-Hosted Zoom meeting is a good cheap choice for easy-to-deploy high-bandwidth (and thus high quality) internal meetings. We threw our college intern a few self-hosted VMs and Self-Hosted Zoom was good-to-go. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Webex is the good old reliable staple but Zoom definitely gaining popularity because it is much less expensive than Webex.
Zoom video is making a k–ling and they eating Cisco's lunch very badly. I know 4 senior engineers who got LR'ed from the collab BU and they are very happy and well paid at Zoom.
Also internet traffic is spiking in service providers' networks, some are forced to upgrade infrastructure.
Hopefully companies would realise that personal video terminals are required for mobile workers to effectively WFH.
Suprisingly CSCO may be well posiotioned from portfolio perspectivie for this crisis.
Confirmed. WebEx is going gangbusters. Now watch the bean counters lay off collaboration folks anyway.
webex sales has spiked more than 800%, same with any security products especially remote/vpn enablers. cisco stock is up today.

You should see the licensing model. The legal agreement alone is a 20 GB file.
