GTS/TSS has been on decline through the last 2 General Managers. Both have been intimately involved in new signings and approved pricing that was negative GP from day one... I was on a TF to review top 15 most negative GP deals. Half of which were newly signed. Then... They ask for a TF to review and fix the contracts... Then they send Solution Architects to the Golden Circle after the contract signs to reward them. How can you sustain a business by signing new business with negative GP...... You can't.. And then when you can't fix what they approved... their first initiative to solve the issue is to cut people..... It's a shame... The leadership is more scary than the COVID 19 virus. Last one out.... Turn out the lights

IBM has no morals when it comes to their employees. I fully expect them to use this virus situation to their advantage and blame it for having to lay off large numbers of people. Something they had already planned to do - given the bad business decisions and performance the past 7 years.

Does anyone know what the percentage of employees affected might be.

How could they do this to people as we are sliding into a recession? This is criminal. The SEC needs to investigate. Lock up the BOD and first 3 ranks of executives across the entire company and force them to pay back their full salary, bonus, and stocks. Many CEOs are foregoing a salary right now to keep their companies afloat. All executives should have to do without to save the business.
