Any word on Optical closing? We deal with members up close & personal, none of this 6ft distance, we have still been so busy to where it's hard to keep up with disinfecting glasses, dispensing tables. I had to go out and buy cleaners bc the store is sold out. This is ridiculous, we need communication and replenishment on proper sanitation if they are having us work still. Atleast the pharmacy has the counter in between them and the member. We don't.

We had to rope off the area all ordering is cut off glasses and contacts. But we are still working normal hours and doing despensing and repairs but NO they don’t care about us at all! The HAC and Optical is just an after thought!!
Ours just closed but I feel like our managers read this site and probably got the idea from this post. It appears the optical associates opted to just take the month off instead of helping stock the rest of the store.
Cashiers and membership do have to touch everything the members have touched. Their carts, cards, everything they're purchasing, their money & sometimes even their children that have been left in their carts to keep them from falling out or grabbing at everything. We also do this constantly all day every day without 6 feet of separation, while trying to keep our SPI under 3, trying to explain the obvious reasons for being out of stock of virtually everything they are looking for, being snapped at even more than usual, etc... Then, lucky us, we're having MSL's literally shouting out, "Plus & Credit! I need at least one of each from you." Yeah, we've got it much better than you. Sorry, I am getting a little bitter about other's complaints. I'm happy to have a job right now & I'll continue to do what needs to be done for the sake of my family. I just hope we all stay safe & healthy.
Cashiers and membership do not touch members, face, behind the ear, while adjusting glasses. We are face to face when taking measurements, so NO it's not the same. We were told to use Clorox wipes and this was when everyone including the store was sold out. We have some now.
Optical at my store shut down today.
Cashiers and membership are just as closeup to members. Also why aren’t you using the cleaning supplies from the maintenance closet? They have the disinfectant spray.
I seen other big box retailers shut down optical so am sure it's going to happen
