Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

This.

I am thankful to still have a job right now. I'm proud to be part of "essential services" that are so important to the community right now. I have seen zero social distancing in the process. ZERO. It's actually part of the problem all at the same time. Am I the only one who realizes that curbside pick up only, would be an even better service to the community?? It would be providing the community the essential goods it needs, AND protecting them from each other, not packed in the Club like sardines, and waiting in lines next to each other, all at the same time!! What a concept. Oh ya, then there are us associates. I do not want to be mingling with hundreds of people just at the time we should not be doing such a thing in order to stop this invisible k–ler!! It's the only way to stop it, and we are simply not doing it. We are actually part of the problem, making money for Walmart under the guise of community service, and some of us will die. I promise you. My wife is on disability and immunocompromised. If I exercise my right to stay home "while uncomfortable", who pays my bills? If I bring the virus home to my wife, she will be dead inside a month. They were very smart in developing this policy. If we get the virus, "well, he had the option of staying home". And just greedy enough to not implement a pick up only policy. For God's sake, isn't Club Pick Up the thing they been pushing SO, SO, SO hard for a couple years now?!?!!!! Well here's your chance!!!!! At the same time y'all can look like heroes. Bonus!! Unbelievable. Obviously the hold up has to be a predicted sales decrease to go 100% pick up. A system to make it efficient, as to minimize loss of sales, is doable!! "put a man on the moon"..... someone can figure it out. Help me out here please. If there is an element to this I'm not thinking of, please point it out to me. I just want to understand.

Unless the news media gets involved nothing is going to happen. Any worker that’s in this situation for any company is in grave danger along with there family.

Absolutely Club pick up only!!
Hire whoever you want. Once they realize the club is out of Lysol and hand sanitizer
they will quit too. They are sending us in there like we’re disposable while corporate works from home.. Our lives are worth more than $150-$350.

Love the idea of club pick up being the only thing we have enough people to do that and clean the store

They will never have to pay out the two weeks quarantine pay to anyone because we are part of "essential services". Genius. Boost to the image at no expense.

I agree 100 percent. I feel at risk everyday and would gladly forfeit my bonus for them doing the right thing in the name of safety. Such as a Club pick up idea...
