Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Tuesday March 24/ Take action

It is clear that the company does not value our safety. We are operating under unsafe conditions, without proper cleaning supplies or crowd control within the store. The company is trying to buy us off with $150-300 instead of protecting us. I know this is a difficult time for us but we don’t have to take this treatment. Things will not get better until we stand up for ourselves. We are the largest employer in the US. If everyone calls out Tuesday March 24th corporate will have to listen. We deserve safe and clean stores. If that can’t be sustained we need to be pick up only. Together we are strong.

Yes you want perspective. Really just want a better plan that is followed through. When we start losing associates. Can management say I did what I could to protect my people

You’re not the only one providing for their family genius. I want to feed my family while not infecting them because I was exposed at work. No Lysol, no wipes, no extra ecolab supplies, no crowd control whatsoever.
Here’s my perspective- thousands of people take 1 day off to gain safer working standards. Reread your own words tool.

If you don’t like it quit. Despite all the horrible things this company has done and changed over the past few years I am happy to be able to still go to work and provide for my family. If you are worried about health there is an option to tap out. That’s up to you.

I’m happy I don’t need to wait for a stimulus package that might never happen to provide for my family.

Get some perspective.

My assistant managers have been AWESOME! My CM not so much! He is there maybe 1hr if that and he SNEAKS out the back door! God forbid he has to come out of the office! Even our Optical manager is on the floor ALL DAY and running self checkout! Don’t know what we would do with out her! But we love her and she knows it! She is a GOD send to us!! You can say what you want about every other person but don’t mess with her babies or she will set you straight! We love you Ginger 4846

I’m glad to hear your club is taking care of you. Most of us can’t say the same.

My club has been taking very good care of us. We do clean and sanitize before opening and each register is supplied with Clorox wipes and gloves. Also when we open they do limit the amount of people that come in at a time. The manager even walks around the store handing the cashiers bottled water and supplying us frozen microwave food in the break room. I feel blessed to have a job and wonderful coworkers that work as a team to help each other

The multipurpose disinfectant is not an effective aerosol. We have nothing left to pull-no wipes of any kind, no bleach, not even peroxide. This is for all of us. You can stay on here posting while nothing gets done or you can do something.

It’s called multi-purpose disinfectant cleaning that’s in the maintenance closet.

Seems rather childish. Just clean with the supplies you have in club. We are allowed to pull certain cleaners off the floor if we are out of the cleaning supplies we need. Our CM said that our local PD could provide a police presence if needed as far as security. This is a crazy time for all of our clubs but choosing to call out is just gonna make the associates who cant afford to call out workday hell and put them even more at risk. I'm more concerned for my associates health more than I am my own.
