So all I have is sick hours like 120 of it. They won’t let us use that if we want to call off because we don’t feel safe. It’s clear they are not closing, I can’t afford to just not show up, so my question is if something were to happen where I get sick do you guys think I have a chance is taking legal action against them for not letting us use our sick hours for this virus outbreak?

Sorry, I should have proofread, I meant to say, there is nothing they can do until all your pto, and personal time (from the old system ) is used up and you are inactive on Loa.
If you are talking about sick time from the old system, there is nothing they can’t do until you’ve exhausted all other pho, old personal time and are on Loa and inactive in the system. The system won’t let anyone just key it in to gta. All other avenues have to be exhausted first. All in the policies on the wire.
The first thing I would do if you got this this is call every news outlet on the planet. Let the world know how much Walmart doesn't care about it's associates. Then I would send it out on social media. Maybe then call a couple lawyers.
Only lawyers get rich. A lawsuit for 3 wks pay doesn't seem worth it, and they know it. I'm surprised a class action suit hasn't been brought yet. Also, if you've been around long enough to have "legacy" sick time, seems like you should have at least a little PTO to speak of. Also, if you get the virus, they will give "partial pay" (whatever that is), up to 6 months.
