Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Essential Business

Federal Government has indentured Fiserv as an ESSENTIAL BUSINESS. Meaning we must do what we can to show up to work and do our jobs even if a state or local government dictates a stay home edict. https://www.wlwt.com/article/what-are-essential-businesses-heres-what-will-remain-open-in-ohio/31878972 Look at Financial Services part, Who came up with this OFD?

It says nothing about FISV specifically.

Is there a link to that Ohio governor’s statement?

The Ohio governor just called out companies like Fiserv that are not being good corporate citizens. He is prepared to take action against them. Hopefully this helps

Lawsuit would be fantastic but remember what IBM was defined as: a large law firm that happens to own an IT company. Same could be said for Fiserv.

Fiserv has provided my significant other with a laptop to work from home . They are not permitting work from home . This puts me at risk because they are exceeding the 10 person guidelines provided by the cdc. I guess micromanaging the associates work , is more important than the health of citizens who don’t work for them . If she brings this home to me , I will be suing fiserv.

If a state mandates stay at home and you are going into work, you can get into trouble. Besides, forcing people into the office is irresponsible unless the business is food or medical. Those jobs cannot be done WFH. A large portion of the jobs @ Fiserv can be done wfh and as I said, it is irresponsible to send workers in at this stage.

Well given the announcement that WFH/secure location (off prem) as of yesterday for all but production that requires on-site. The statement is wrong, but it did take far too long for this to happen because of FB's drive for WFW.
