Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

How many months of this can we take?

Realistically, if this lasts for more than two months as everybody is predicting (although I'm not sure why that seems to be the consensus) how long would it take for us to collapse? I know small businesses are already having trouble staying afloat, but how long would it take a huge company like us to go under (minus a bailout, of course?)

with 120B in debt we are borrowing more. Covid is not going to make a difference. In fact it could be the thing we could pass on the blame for not delivering this year.

Why the trolling? Ask a more important question about a less critical Industry and how it might be helped. Think forward. Stop staring at your belly button.

VZ stock is going to shoot up very high after this, close the stores. Take a leading position, protect your customers and by accident protect your employees.

Vz is in a much better position than the vast majority of companies. They will not only survive this, but thrive, as their services are more critical than ever.

Why would you think VZ would collapse? With so many working from home and with a national emergency declared, there is more need than ever for critical communications.
All the circuits, all the 911 equipment, all the cell towers, all the everything else are critical.
VZ couldn’t collapse if it wanted to.
