Watching cameras/people getting terminated in our club

Hi I just want to ask to see if this is happening at any other clubs. Our store has implemented the 6 foot rule with members. Very few members are now allowed in a time to come in the store and shop. Since there’s such few people the store is practically dead at all time. Yes there is a line outside but only 30 at a time isn’t busy. Cafe, tma, demos, are now displaced and helping other areas. All Production work is being completed early with barely anything to do in the afternoons. They’re watching cameras in our store. Sending home people early. Two people got fired yesterday for being unproductive. In the beginning of the week one person also got fired for a messed up transaction in t-b-cco. That one is understandable but how do they have heart in a moment like this to fire people. Are they cutting cost before they give us our “great” payout? Is it because the government funded unemployment means they won’t have to pay for firing them? Is this Walmart’s new way to clean up house in clubs? We’re being watched on cameras. We feel so used and untrusted when we have done so much this week. Is this happening at any other clubs ? Or noticing this in your clubs ???

I hope they are spending at least a bit of time watching members who: are shoplifting, opening up packaged food to take 1 or 2 items out of container to eat, switching price tags on product, cheating at self check out.

Well at my club the only computer left is in the managers office so if course the managers are going to fight for the chair and just watch the cameras to make it look like they are doing something. Once these new hours were announced I knew for sure people would be standing around more now, so basically now is not the time to be seen doing nothing.

Could it be the non productive associates are now even more nonproductive and should have been fired a long time ago?

Fluffy puppies, dogs will be dogs.

None of that happening at our club. Our managers are fantastic. I'm in Ohio, I'd give you the store number, but don't want anyone coming down on our managers.

Cutting payroll, as the bottom may fall out. Plus plenty of new hires at cheaper pay.

Happening here at 4819. I’m hovering over 108 watching her watch cameras. Don’t they have anything else better to do instead of taking a 8 hour break watching cameras lol
