Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

The expense of musical chairs

What are your thoughts? Will they continue with the outcomes of this past PDC or another one (as part as must-moves and trimming) and the resulting expense of moving people around? For example AMBU Pittsburgh, I bet the majority of the people slated to be moved out or want to move would have been destined for MidCon jobs in either Midland or Houston. I would imagine those opportunities are washing away now with the budget cuts. Will management halt and say that if you are in AMBU too bad, everyone there is out of Chevron (except of course the local VP who pulls the trigger).

I would think those who want to move will have an awful time selling houses now, Chevron may not want to be assuming houses as part of the relocation packages now, and owners might be seeing much lower appraisals than they expected.

Most must-move AMBU employees have already been relocated. if they have not, they are probably out of a job.
