Macys in Hicksville closed on Tuesday, March 17th, 2020 due to COVID-19 when it was supposed to close on Sunday, March 22nd, 2020. I feel really bad for also the workers also the store was very unique it had 1956 Armor Traction Elevators and Pelle Escalators also it was the taller Suburban Department Store in United States of America because it used to be the Gertz Flagship from 1956 until 1982 when it merged with Paramus, New Jersey based Sterns and ultimately became a Macys in 2001
- I.P 1956-2020 Gertz/Stern's/Macy*s. I wish the best of luck to all workers either be transferred or leaving the company the Commack store will be next with liquidation sales beginning in May 2020
