Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

Inventory?!?

Just received word that Grocery/WB teams in the SO region have to count inventory on the 31st to reset the in-stock tool in preparation for April launch. In the middle of a pandemic. Unfucking believable.

Um I thought we debunked IRMA inventory? It’s design was to hide the inventory thus working around the tax on it. It’s a charade. Just go and make up numbers, have your 1 slice of pizza and go home.

Our Leadership is offering letters to show to police, not that that would help in some situations.

Side note. Our DVO guns need to go away. The guns we use for the product location scans are amazing! So fast. Scan from any distance or angle. Instant feedback. We should use those or at least stop using ancient hardware that's running a software that hasn't been supported or updated since 2014.

Yep, still happening in the South Region as of now. Funny thing is, a lot of the stores are in counties/cities where 9pm curfews have been put in effect. Inventory will surely last until 11pm-midnight at earliest. How many of us low wage workers will Whole Foods put at risk of being stopped by police on their way home from an inventory that should wait?

From inkling:

“INVENTORY: We will not be doing our end-of-quarter inventory count. There could be some inventory work required, based on the in-stock program implementation, which your Regional EL of Ops will communicate.”

So, yeah. Not fake news. To support the April roll-out/expansion of this pilot program Gro/WB has to count in the SO region and in select stores throughout the company. The crazy part, the stores that are currently piloting this tool have been instructed to revert back to DVO since the historical sales data is garbage right now. OW were having to manually override suggested order quantities for every single item they scanned, which is very time consuming in that system. The idea of expanding this program to new stores/teams at a time when we can’t guarantee who’s going to be able to come to work from one day to the next is completely ridiculous.

Fake news. All inventory has been canceled. Stop with your paranoid lies.

MW cancelled as well. Although it would have been the easiest quickest inventory ever. Most bulk is gone.

N/E doesnt have to count either but it would have been pretty easy since most of our shelves are empty even the spices lol protein bars would have been the most time consuming. But it s—s !!!
