Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

FISERV - Advance your career

On linkedin.com - big advertisement for new hires. Woman says it is her dream job. LOL - how little people really know - ought to research the place first.

The down votes are from people who understand life. They've been 25 before and they know the challenges that come when you are older. They have more than common sense and the fact that you disregard their down votes as being nothing more than lack of accountability and common sense shows that you are unwilling to learn, think you know everything at 25, ie. a millenial.

Hmm, should I take my retirement advice from someone over 50 who clearly didn't plan for their own retirement well? Thanks but I'd feel better about finding a retirement plan on google. Your failure to keep your skills up to date, plan your retirement and just manage your life in general shouldn't be blamed on Fiserv leadership. I could go on, but this is clearly not the place for common sense and personal accountability as witnessed by the many downvotes for my posts. Good Luck with your future choices!

Clueless millenials. First, people do save their money but do you know what the current retirement age is? No, because you're a millenial and have never looked at since you're far off that mark. People are talking about 50 and over here. Do you know how far away someone is from retirement when they are 51? Long ways out. Do you also know that if you retire before retirement age that you lose you insurance and don't get medicate until you hit retirement age?

Do your homework before you post.

Disagree, when I worked there I saw plenty of older folks that all seemed to be doing fine. I think most had failed to save for retirement but that isn't the fault of Fiserv. I don't think its fair to blame the company for people's poor choices with their money. People need to take personal responsibility and stop blaming Fiserv and its leadership for the lack of self discipline and planning.

Agree if you work at Fiserv save your money because you will be gone by 50 unless you are SVP or higher. If you’re valuable they do give special severance arrangements. But either way you exit

Losing dead weight - ah, I remember that excuse - terminated emps are always dead weight, extra baggage. Age did not matter. Departments always over-staffed. Here we go with the shills.
