Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Bringing union to Texas

Anyone have any interest in helping bring the union to Texas? I feel like it would be a welcomed change to the bs that we currently put up with, especially in this pandemic situation.

Seriously, this LEAVE mentality is the toxicity that many of us deal with. To each his own but to tell others to basically get out..that’s just rude and ignorant.

Union is a waste of time. They take your dues but in reality they cannot affect any serious change. Hint: WORK-JUST DO YOUR JOB! You accepted a sales job, you agreed to it. You sought it out! Now do it! Or Quit and leave us in peace.

I think it's so ironic how these directors who have no clue about being genuine parade around posting on IG with their DMs about how much they "appreciate" us and thankful they are. News flash you posting these doesnt change how you lead everyday. We need to bring the union to Texas sooner rather than later

Something has to be done. They’re sure as heck don’t deserve a bailout.

If this is for stores, unionizing will just accelerate their demise. Operating costs are already high, if they go higher, they will just close or become indirect. I think this is the path forward anyways.

@xto+1496f5os For one, I have worked for AT&T, which is unionized. You seem to be a very angry person who needs a Xanax. Being dismissive gets you nowhere in life.

All you need to do is go to CWA’s website and they have a form for you to fill out and they will do the rest. You can keep it all confidential too

First off have you ever talked to a rep that has worked in a union store? Maybe you should do your research. Secondly , forming a union is a complete waste of time. Verizon usually shuts down union locations so you end up losing your job anyway.

They tried in Waco. They moved people around and fired someone to make sure it didn't pass. Verizon has some of the best union busting in the game
