Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Good News

Walmart, which is America's largest grocer, is adding the sneeze guards at its 4,700 US stores and at its 600 Sam's Club locations within the next three weeks. It's also adding floor decals at the checkout lines reminding people of the six-foot social distancing recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control.

The company said it also found a "new solution" for sanitizing shopping carts: a new backpack-style sprayer employees use to clean the carts "quicker and more thoroughly."

Walmart employees will also have free access to telehealth doctor appointments. The copay is normally $4 per appointment. Walmart is also giving most of its employees extended ability to use a new financial services app that lets them receive early access some of their earned wages.

The company announced last week it was shortening its store hours because of the demand for necessities during the coronavirus pandemic. It is also opening its stores one hour early on Tuesdays to seniors only, through April 28.

Columbus north has them installed on the registers. Their kinda cute, nowhere near what corner stores have but at least it's something. Service counter WILL NOT be getting them apparently.

members are not paying attention to any of this they feel they have to get right in your face to ask the same dumb questions every day we should put up signs that say if you do not see it we do not have it.

The membership desk is the absolute worst set up to try to have space between yourself and customers. I don’t care what they even attempt to fix at this point because they wouldn’t listen before and taking steps now and in weeks to come is too late.

What about the stupid membership desk that someone came up with that has zero protection or functionality toward ... well absolutely anything, but especially not to keep members from standing right by you and walking right up to you? It has never been a good set up, but now it’s even more stupid!

Another store expense that comes off the bottom line. I told you they would find a reason too offset the incredible sales so that they would have a good reason to not pay max bonuses this quarter to employees

Like people will even follow it. Walmart shoppers and employees are the rudest people I have ever seen. Anyone with a hair of decency stays out of Walmart’s
