For another 2 weeks, then I am scheduled to go in. Masks, hand sanitizer, the whole bit. I am looking forward to getting back in the groove. Look out world, here I come!

When the benefit from returning to work exceeds the health risk, we will return. I see 90% efficiency or more working from home so no driver to return and catch my death from the pox.

I say we telecommute two days per week and share an office with someone who is there alternate days. Cuts our Houston office in half., frees up a whole tower for San Ramon to move over.

I definitely do not miss the office environment filled with dual morals and fake people trying too dam hard. I like working from home. I actually do more than listening nonsense at the workplace or looking at others spending time talking about their fn dog or cat

In the beginning, I hated it. However, I am now finding I can be much more productive at home and I don’t miss my commute.

I hope it stays this way for a while.

As long as there is some level of social distancing required by government or company, it's going to be difficult to have everyone back at the office issuing common spaces, elevators, etc. Dave P. Talked about this in the last crisis update.

As long as schools and daycare are closed you won't have any parents in the office.

In MCBU we began to work from home after the federal government declared the Coronavirus a national emergency. Getting back to the office I think will be contingent on what the federal government's stance is on the matter. I have read several projections that say that we should expect a slow turn to normal life by the end of May with social distancing in play to some degrre. My best guess is we may be back in the offices by June, but if Chevron decides to be extra cautious it may be through the Summer as well.

Unfortunately from articles I've read we won't be properly back to normal in the USA until next Spring when a vaccine is available, and even then there will be some time before it's distributed. Still an LA study recently showed the virus has actually spread to about 4% of the population already at a rate that isn't overloading hospitals. There may be some natural immunization that occurs before the one year mark that could help slow down the virus and make things safer.

It's anyone's guess really. I have seen models say expect a return to normal by end of April, or by August. It's a massive range.

Sorry that's not very helpful, these are just thoughts I have on the matter.

Yes, HR is paying trolls for that. Now explain to us why you think you don't deserve to be left standing.

I'm pretty sure HR is paying trolls to poison the well here with these repetitive pointless insult posts.

On topic...return date will likely be influenced by the state you work in, and guidance they give to employers. My guess is that people could start getting back mid-may thru mid-june
