There's talk among agreement employees about going on strike for better conditions. Senior management is relying on junior/middle managers to plug gaps in labor, act as internal "scabs", manage external contractors, and enforce draconian company policies, all while chewing up and spitting out young managers by the dozen in appalling conditions that are sometimes barely legal.
Junior/middle manager working conditions are almost as bad as those for agreement employees, and with fewer protections. If they strike for better conditions, the same managers and other lower non-agreement employees will benefit. The interests of both groups overlap here.
