Thread regarding Enterprise Rent-A-Car layoffs

What else was affected?

These groups were affected on my lay-off call this morning:
Customer Service
Reservations
Special Services
Telecom
HR
Admin
I know more calls scheduled for tomorrow.

Has anything else been affected this week? Are we expecting even more layoffs? I'm hoping they plan to wrap it up this week...

Former ERAC from GP23. Been many years since I left but I still recall the culture: "don't leave, it's horrible out there. We are the best and if you leave you will regret it." With a lot of hires right out of college, I guess it worked.
When I left after 15+ years, I still remember my VP saying it was a bad move.

It was the best move I ever made. If you can make it in rental or car sales at ERAC, you will do fine just about anywhere else.

Revenue management in Saint Louis also had lay-offs, with internal “corporate” info I happened to come by says that this was just the first wave. I still have a lot of corporate connections who f—ing hate enterprise, and they say they have meetings on the regular at the level-4 level to reduce “foot prints” aka lay-offs.

Very unprofessional meeting. Nothing informative or helpful. It could have all been said in a short email. Lasted all of 5 minutes. The person read from a script. Totally ignored questions put in chat. No clear indication that the webinar ended, so some of us remained connected waiting on more information. Instead, other "presenters" started talking among themselves about questions that were posted in chat until one of them said " Wait! Are you sure they can't hear us?" Then, they laugh and one of them, with a laugh and a wave says "goodbye.". Guess that was our cue to log off.

Yes more furloughs and layoffs to come if business does not pick up shortly. Considering how they have been handling the recent layoff meetings they are looking at more trouble in the media as well. Poorly handled and unprofessional. Employees were being laughed at in their meetings after being told they have no job but they were unaware that they were recorded. They have also done layoffs before in hopes of federal grant money so I would start looking elsewhere even if you are safe. Who wants to work for a company like this. Inhuman.
