Opening up the economy will save jobs at Verizon and other Companies. Many of us have been working here many years and are too advanced in age to start careers elsewhere. Verizon saw a downturn in our cellular division as we were forced to shut down our stores. We are also setting up for a poor next quarter by refusing to do new FIOS installs. Save our jobs and open things up ASAP.

Wouldn’t the virus be the people assuming the rest of the country is employed by Verizon, never missing a beat in working, being paid, paying bills and are safely sequestered in their homes playing on their laptops all day, doing essentially nothing but looking at social media and buying things and getting paid for it and hoping the unemployed masses stay home indefinitely?

I'm sure there are areas that can be opened up, NYC is not one of them, neither are the big cities in Jersey or Mass. And unfortunately, that's where a lot of the FiOS is. Gonna have to hold on for a few more weeks at least. It's time to do some building, so when things clear up, were ready to make some money. Get some masks and gloves and sanitizer, so we're ready.

No you cuck, just wash your hands and keep 6 feet away. You could always apply for a leave of absence or perhaps furlough and hit up family, friends or a soup kitchen for your nourishment. Quit smoking and stop eating all that sugar, salt and fat. Take responsibility already and stop blaming everyone else.

I second that. Craft for 20 years and the last 5 as a manager. I see light at the end of the tunnel and would like to get there. We have techs doing maintenance on the plant, but that can only go on so long. Save our jobs and open the economy up!
