Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

Is this true?

I called the health dept a month ago to notify them that Mondelez has not issued employees any PPE. I was told I did not have to go to work if I did not feel safe, and if any repercussions come from it, you are safe!

Has anybody else had any experience with this? Are we really safe if we don't show up? Sounds a bit too good to be true.

Wrong! You are 💯 wrong! Call your local health dept, I did! I’ve been home AND getting a paycheck! One simple conversation with HR and it was done!

I would wait until the monday after the end of the month personally if you're going to wait that long. Any salaried person would lose the extra $125 otherwise.

If you really want to know, call the health dept!! To answer your question, yes!! They also have to give you two weeks off if you have symptoms of covid, don’t need to test positive! Anyone who doesn’t take advantage is silly! Our whole team is doing a “walk out” in protest of how they have not protected us!! All saying we have symptoms at the close of the month!! 😂 Screw them! I’ll kick back and enjoy!

According to my local health office this is true. They are in violation of the CARES ACT if they are not providing proper PPE. I haven’t been to work since April 6th and have been getting paid after citing the act to my DM and local HR representative. They want to keep this quiet for obvious reasons.
