Verizon is always laying off people... I work as
a contractor in their building at southeast hub.
The public just never hears about these layoffs.
Verizon lays of in small groups or individuals so
it doesn't attract media attention.
Verizon Business has layoffs in the middle of a pandemic. This should be illegal. I wonder if any lawyers out there think it is??
This Covid thing will affect the books in some form for at least the next 6 months. When it dies down enough to where the C level cannot use it as their go to excuse anymore you can expect major layoffs.

OP, you must be new...VZ has been laying off every year for the past 25+ years. Call it a VSP or whatever...people leave in droves every year.. Contractors are taking over.
Here’s the deal Fios customers will be declining big time. Video is in major decline. VZ will have to ramp up its wireless subscribers. Union techs are dropping like flies many infected and some fatalities from Covid. This is real people.
No union hours were cut. Union hater go feed your bats.

Lower Westchester is getting thinned by the end of May, field tech numbers not so bad ( one is too much) but management is going to get wiped. Rumors coming from 2nd line, so probably worthless. But it does seem like a big one is coming
