There was a rush to do this, but it is at years end still.

There are ways around WARN requirements and the manner in which we continually re-org, restructure, RIF and just flat out lay-off people we can stay below the thresholds and don’t have to report it. A certain % from each BU looks very different when it comes to WARN requirements. A % this month, another % next month and so on and so on. Rolling re-org / rolling RIF. It’s been going on for over 10 years since I have been at FS. FB is taking it to a new level making it a sport! Don’t trust anyone or any message. Only trust and take care of yourself because NO ONE involved in this current FB movement is trustworthy or has any amount of integrity.

No WARN notice that I can see in Utah.

Are there even enough people at that office to meet the threshold? I think the threshold is 50 employees that will all be laid off at once. There are loopholes that could be exploited though, especially now "...certain exceptions to the requirements when layoffs occur due to unforeseeable business circumstances, faltering companies, and natural disasters."

When your technology is so old that you can’t even consolidate into the crazy flavor of the day technology that we spent a gazillion dollars on - you have to come to grips just how obsolete your BU is. There is absolutely no logical reason to continue that office location. Expect it to close.

Last I heard CUS core support was only being hired for Frisco and SLC, so I find this unlikely.

Any updates on this. We actually have a weird concentration of associates in Utah across BUs, many remote. Had expected many of those to be asked to come back to the office, but if the office is gone...?

The SLC office is a disaster. What some call a Data center wouldn’t even qualify as an IT closet. You can’t expect to maintain client facing business when you arrogantly ignore the feedback of professionals and continue to operate something that has been neglected for years. Can’t blame FD for this one - you have to blame CUS Leadership BC they were told well before the “merger”. They know who they are - they had a chance to correct this and they didn’t.

Before you assume the poster is starting rumors why don't you see if a WARN Notice has been filed in Utah? Also, FB has already said he would close the smaller offices. Its what he did at FD too. If you do not think this is the case, you are living in total denial. He has already said this in town halls... so why would you doubt it?
