There will always be bonuses because the big wheels get a significant part of their compensation based on the bonus payout. Those of us who have been in the business for a while know that the cycle time between boom-bust-boom is just a few years.

Very ignorant statement. There will always be bonuses. It is true, however, that they will probably be small.

There will always be bonuses. Just like there will always be dividend increases. Chevron will just lay off more people, cut more Capex and borrow more money.
