Unions do not care about workers. They were good early on back in the day, but now all the do is collect dues to support their own political goals. I have been a union member. It did nothing for me other than take my money. It did not stand up for me and other workers in a dispute. It is nothing but a control mechanism. My family was forced to move at one point because union demands wound up closing a company my husband worked for. People who support unions are ignorant to how they work and what they accomplish. It is like the new interest in Socialism, a pie in the sky opinion not based on the real world. There is a reason there are right to work states. And besides, there is no chance in hell Bezos will ever allow unions. None.

Unions are great to support broken structures where companies dont take care of employees. Does amazon/whole foods take care if its employees 100%? No. But they sure pay better than the competitors, offers tm discount that others dont, has a solid 401k plan although their match is minimal, provides free food if you ask, you can earm up to $43k per year as a regular team member(cashiers, porters, etc). Unless you really $[]ck then yes leadership will get rid of you. Otherwise they’ll support you to move up or keep your job. And yes some leadership s— but for the most part union will make all this things disappear.

Private enterprise , to secure maximum profits will do everything in their power to achieve this goal whether it is laying workers off, cutting benefits , moving production abroad etc... Also through their lobbying power and endless purse strings they will mold the law and political decisions to their favor. After WW2 the U S had the greatest economic growth with unions leading the way, but because the private sector did not like the unions cutting into their profit they along with some nasty politics crushed the union movement. Private enterprise organizes their resources to create massive wealth for themselves why should not us we deserve it.

Unions? Go ahead pay union dues for the same sh– your getting now.
Politics are every where including unions. If ya don’t like it quit. The economy is f—ed, back in 2008 they cleaned house from the top down, guarantee they will do it again. It’s a Good job. You can make it a career or move on. At the end of the day, they don’t care! Nobody does. The business will continue and life will go on.

Our atl is f—ed up!
My tl had to conduct a team member vote since the other atl was trying to get the new atl fired but the other atl doesn’t know yet .
Our tl scanned and kept the votes to protect the other atl but know the problem atl is in trouble with the other atl.
This is how f—ed up the evil atl is she kept count of who turned it in and how they voted but we kept note of her feedback and emailed our tl .

I wish that when people posted topics or responses that they took the time to write something at least semi coherent. I'm not asking for grammatical perfection but there are so many ways to interpret this nonsense. What does it mean? I'm am so much more interested in what thoughts are trickling out of your brain than whatever this post is about.

I can't even tell if this post is pro or anti union.

What bargaining chips? There is no bargaining going on. Whole Foods will fiercely stamp out any unionization efforts and truthfully, a vast majority of TM's are against it. There is a small vocal minority that wants to unionize but they will have to be smarter than this.

Who is spreading union support at store levels? Who cares? Tm's who are found to be trying to unionize in stores will disappear quick.

Look at who's call out ratio? ATL's? I'm an ATL and I guarantee I have the best attendance in the region for over a decade. Every other ATL I've worked with is generally excellent with attendance as well. No one will hire an ATL with attendance problems.
