Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

AmBU final count down

~150 got jobs through PDC or off cycle jobs
~50 EOI
~ 100 Transition team
~ 100 left standing and will be let go end of May

Not too bad under COVID 19 circumstance!

It looks like the AMBU employees that are left are in the best position going into the downsizing this fall. Rumor has it that they will not be subject to the layoffs.

Chevron’s strategy is buy high, sell low.

Typical CVX, buy AMBU when natural gas prices are at record highs / sell AMBU when gas is in the c-apper. That's how you make $10 bln go poooof.

The great shale collapse will choke gas supplies so prices will skyrocket. AMBU will be a great buy for someone shrewd. You heard it here first.

Suspect AMBU dry gas economics are better than West Texas in current market.

Thank you for sharing. Hopefully folks in the transition team will find employment opportunity with the buyer.
