I've heard many horror stories about people swarming other reopened stores without any regard for safety (no masks, no gloves, no staying apart) and constantly hurling abuse at employees for no reason whatsoever. Is the same thing happening at reopened Macy's stores?

When I go back, if any customers are not wearing them, they will be invisible to me (Luckily, I'm not sales so I don't interact with customers as much as sales people, but I am on the floor working).
Both people have to be wearing masks for them to be fully effective. Your eyes are not covered by a mask and those little corona-germs can still get in there when someone talks to you.
Jeff is a pansy. He'll only dictate what the government mandates. Grow a set of balls and protect everyone by requiring all to wear masks. You're the man in charge for crying out loud. You make the rules of your store. You'll earn the respect of all your employees for keeping them safe.
required or not, just look at the CDC's recommendation and why!!! There is a reason for a mask. It is required in my state and city as many others. I would not want to be dealing with the public without a mask.
It's the fact the person said thankfully you as a worker should want customers to wear mask even if it's not mandatory because it protects you. Them not wearing masks means that when they talk spit particals are flying into the air and all over the surfaces you as a worker touch all day.
Why all the negative ratings in that post about not requiring customers to wear masks? It's NOT required in our state or county. Macy's isn't going to require it if it's not required by the government. It's unenforceable if the government doesn't back it up. Wow. You can't figure this out?
Everything is fine at my store. We are busy. We don't require customers to wear masks, thankfully.
No swarms yet in DFW, but several everyday that get mad when told they need to wear mask.
